The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Soccer Team looks to advance to the state tournament with a win tonight, as they travel northwest to face Spencer in the Class 2A Region 8 Championship game.

ADM is coming off of a 7-0 shutout victory over Atlantic on Wednesday, while Spencer took care of Spirit Lake Park Okoboji 9-2. It will be a battle of the Tigers as ADM leading goal scorer Jada Grove comes into the match with 31, and Spencer senior Addison Hoben is charging her team with 47 goals on the year. During the regular season, Grove surpassed Ashlyn Watt as the all-time leading scorer in ADM’s history and currently sits at 98 total goals in her high school career. Head Coach Rachel Harada knows how special a player she is.

“We are very fortunate to have Jada on our team. She is an incredible athlete (but) she’s also an incredible teammate. And it’s been really fun and exciting to see her break multiple records this season, and just to see her lift her other teammates up along the way as well. It’s been really cool.”

This will be the first matchup between ADM and Spencer as the winner will secure their spot at the state tournament. The game is scheduled to start at 7pm from the Northwest Iowa Soccer Field in Spencer.
