The Panora City Council met in regular session Tuesday night.

The Council approved a liquor license renewal for Panora Liquor, LLC, along with a resolution authorizing the closure of Iowa Highway 44 and other city streets at certain times on August 1st through 3rd for Panorama Days. City Administrator Lisa Grossman then shared that the Public Works department was able to observe some demonstrations of a skid loader, and decided to purchase a new one. She mentioned that with the trade-in of the current skid loader, $15,200 would be taken off the total price, meaning that the purchase would be $64,500 with a warranty. Grossman explained that the purchase agreement would be presented in the Council’s next meeting, and that the purchase itself would happen in the new fiscal year, allowing them to file the payment in the new year’s budget.
