The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Soccer Team have punched their ticket to the state tournament for Class 2A, after blanking Spencer on Friday.

Spencer came in with a 15-3 record, while ADM was 10-6-1, but that did not phase them as they were able to take care of business to advance to state. The Tigers broke the scoring in the first half and would take a 1-0 advantage into the halftime break. Spencer wasn’t able to get anything past senior Goalie Alayna Freeman, as ADM went on to mark two more goals to pad their cushion and roll into the state tournament, winning 3-0.

ADM is now the five seed for Class 2A and is set to take on fourth-seeded Independence on Tuesday at 1:45pm at the Lied Recreational Fields in Ames. The Tigers reached state in the first year under debut Head Coach Rachel Harada.
