Before the school year ended, some students at Panorama got to partake in a fun experience.

Superintendent Kasey Huebner says that the 4th grade class took a trip to Des Moines to participate in the BizTown program at Junior Achievement USA. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio about the program.

“It’s a hands-on experience that brings classroom lessons to life. Essentially it’s a city economy simulation that the kids all got jobs. They got to kind of simulate what it’s like to work in a community, and where taxes go, and what jobs do. And (the) kids really enjoyed it.”

Huebner mentions that the students worked really hard when they took part in the project, performing the roles of mayor, a banker, and jobs within the technology department.
