The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Softball Team opened Raccoon River Conference play on Monday at the Gary Creasman Field, as they split the double header with Boone to get their fourth win of the season.
ADM dropped the first game 6-2, but the offense woke up in the second, getting the job done 13-1. In the first game, the Toreadors got three runs across the plate to lead 3-0 early, before the Tigers got one in the top of the second inning, but Boone would tally another three runs in the fourth, then ADM would get one in the sixth inning, but was defeated 6-2.
Game two saw the Toreadors jump on first with one early run in the bottom of the first inning, but that’s all they would get. The Tigers would go on to score five runs in the second inning, seven in the third, and add one more in the fourth to roll onto a 13-1 convincing victory to split the double header.
Boone now sits at 5-2 on the year (2-1 RRC), and ADM is right behind at 4-2 overall (1-1 RRC). The Tigers turn around and play tonight in Norwalk for a non-conference matchup versus the Warriors, beginning at 7:15pm.
