The Perry Chamber of Commerce is preparing for the summer season as the first farmers market of 2025 starts tomorrow.
According to Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti, people are welcome to buy fresh produce from many local vendors all summer long and into early fall. She describes that every third Thursday of the month will feature a special themed event, with June 19th being Public Safety Night. Pasutti outlines what people can expect to see for produce this time of year.
“Usually it takes a little bit for a lot of the vegetables to come on, but you’ve got your late spring, early summer things coming on now. And then a lot of our vendors are able to get some fresh items even sooner.”
Pasutti comments that approximately 15 vendors will be apart of the farmer’s market on a weekly basis, with about three new additions this year. She indicates that Techie Chef will be serving a variety of food during tomorrow’s event. The Perry Farmer’s Market will be held in the downtown area along 2nd Street every Thursday from 4-7pm through September 25th.
