Perry softball is hosting Nevada for a Heart of Iowa Conference matchup.  The evening will be used to celebrate local military and first responders at the Perry Athletic Complex.  Ceremonial first pitches will be thrown out by First Sergeant Tonia Peterson and Police Chief Jim Archer.

Peterson had a distinguished 23-year military career and is the mother of current Jayette second basemen Harper Peterson.  Archer is the current Chief of Police in Perry with over three decades of law enforcement experience.

The Jayettes enter the contest 1-1 in the HOIC after beating Saydel 4-3 on Friday.  Nevada is 1-2 entering today in the conference.

Christina Kanealy, Cate Erickson, and Kalley Whelchel are each hitting .286 on the young season.  Kanealy has an ERA of 3.23 and the senior is the lone Jayette to step in the circle in 2025.

The Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network will have the broadcast on KDLS tonight at 7P.
