Kalley Whelchel tripled in the first driving in Karagyn Whelchel to propel Perry past Nevada, 10-1, in Wednesday’s conference clash in Perry.

Jayette hitters drew 11 walks in their mercy rule win over the Cubs.  Perry scored a run in the first and second to take a lead and never looked back.  Nevada scored their lone run in the fourth cutting it to 2-1.  Perry used a five run fourth highlighted by an Ayden Erickson double to drive in two.  The Jayettes walked off in the fifth after Taryn Nehring drove in two with a single.

Ayden Erickson, Nehring, and Karagyn Whelchel each had two hits.

Tina Kanealy pitched the five innings complete game.  She struck out two, surrendered three hits, and an unearned run.

Tempy Carsrud suffered the loss.  The Nevada southpaw gave up seven runs, three hits, and nine walks.

Perry improves to 2-1 in conference games.  They’ll hit the road tonight and take on West Marshall at 7P.
