
On Wednesday the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs baseball and softball teams played host to the Indianola Indians. The Mustang baseball team would fight for seven innings, but fall to Indianola 6-2. The DCG softball team would find success, defeating the Indians 8-5.
In the baseball contest, Lincoln Harris would get the starting nod and pitch through six complete innings before being relieved by Connor Stolpe in the top of the seventh. Tate Perrin would find success in the batters box, hitting a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. The Mustangs would still fall to Indianola 6-2.
Jenah Gray and Tessa Jones would help the Mustang girls put on a show against the Indians. Jones would pitch a complete game with 94 pitches, while Jenah Gray would hit two home runs and drive in two runs, homering in first and second inning to help the Mustangs pick up a 8-5 victory over Indianola.
The Mustang girls return to action today, playing host to the Winterset Huskies. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30pm.
