There’s going to be a new addition to Michael Mills Park in Panora by the end of the summer.

City Administrator Lisa Grossman says that they are having a new full basketball court put in at the park. She mentions that the current court only has one hoop, with a cracked backboard and this new one will feature a full court with court lines for both basketball and pickleball so that the court can have multiple uses. She adds that the cost of the court was $35,020, which was approved by the City Council, with the city to pursue extra grant funds for the purchase of a second hoop, new backboards and the pickleball net, along with the court markings. Grossman says that the city hopes to see the project completed in July.
