The Perry Grand 3 Theatres is continuing a summer tradition of providing free movies for families.
Perry Grand 3 Theatres Owner Margaret Tiernan announces that 10 movies will be available for anyone to watch every Wednesday for free until the middle of August. She says the business has a booker that gives them a list of movies to choose from, and the ones that were selected were the best options for being suitable for children and adults. Tiernan shares the free movies began with her husband Eric and two business partners, as she illustrates how the idea was derived.
“The theater we used to take our kids to, at Christmas time, they’d have a free movie. And so Eric started out, he wanted to do a free movie at Christmas time. And then they just started doing summer movies, they just kind of thought, “we’ll if we can get these movies that have already been out and get them at a lesser cost, (then) we can do some free summer movies for the kids.”
Margaret states that guests will only get free entry to the movie itself, and will have to purchase concession stand items if they’d like. A new movie will screen every Wednesday at 11am, with the first one being “The Wild Robot” this coming week. The full list of movies can be found below.
