The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs girls return to the Class 2A state championship today to face off against the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks. DCG returns to the state championship match up for the fifth straight year, and look for their fourth straight title. Kick off is scheduled for 5:30pm.

Freshman Paisley Heidgerken would shine in the semifinals against Xavier, notching in a goal on her own, then having her shot ricochet off of the Saints defense for an own goal against Xavier. Heidgerken, alongside keeper Emryson Torsky and seniors Alexandra Hofbauer and Alexa Gill look to push the Mustangs towards success against the Go-Hawks.

The Mustangs return to the state championships in Ames at the Cyclone Complex and face off against Waverly-Shell Rock. Kick off is scheduled for 5:30 with coverage on KDLS beginning at 5:15pm.
