The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Softball Team will be playing a double header tonight at home versus Bondurant-Farrar coming in, and Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the broadcast.
The Tigers were able to snap a two-game losing streak on Friday, with a 2-1 victory over Van Meter in eight innings, as the Bluejays defeated Des Moines Christian 6-0 on Friday. ADM is 5-4 on the year so far (1-2 inside the Raccoon River Conference), while Bondurant-Farrar is sitting at 7-2 overall (0-1 RRC). In the six games she’s started, Tiger sophomore Makenna Pitlick has a record of 3-3 with 22 strikeouts, and knows she has good role models with teammate pitchers Lauren Hagedorn and Chloe Olthoff.
“With a great pitcher like Lauren, I’m able to learn off of her every single day. Chloe does great when she comes and steps in too, so I just think it’s really good, all three of us know how to get the job done and I think it’s just good that we mix it up as well.”
ADM leads the historical series 18-8, including winning the last three games. The conference double header will be played in Adel tonight, beginning at 5pm. Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the second game, approximately at 7pm, on K107.9 KKRF.
