Grand View Christian (Des Moines) is in its first season as a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference member and the Thunder visit Allensworth Field in Jefferson to take on Greene County in high school baseball tonight. The varsity contest will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com with first pitch set for close to 7:30 p.m. The Thunder won the first contest between these two in late May by a 4-0 score.

Coach Kyle Stalder’s team is 1-8 on the season and 1-7 in the conference while GVC is 7-5 overall and 4-1 in conference games after a 14-2 win vs. Woodward-Granger last night in non-conference play. The Rams have lost their last six games and are still looking for the first win this season on the home diamond.
