The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs baseball team had everything working for them on Thursday as they steamrolled through the Waterloo West Wahawks 17-2. The Mustangs advance to 10-5 and look to carry this momentum into Friday’s contest against the Pella Christian Eagles.
Connor Stolpe would get the starting nod for the Mustangs and would pitch through three innings allowing two runs before being relieved by Jaxson Seidl for the final two innings. The Mustang offense seemed to be firing on all cylinders, scoring three in the first, and eight runs in the second with a big two run homerun from Tate Perrin after a two RBI triple from Caethan Stocker. The Mustangs would carry this momentum until the end defeating the Wahawks 17-2.
DCG baseball returns to action today as they travel to Pella Christian High School to face off against the Eagles. First pitch is scheduled for 7pm.
