On Thursday the West Central Valley Wildcats softball team traveled to Pleasantville High School for double header action against the Trojans. The Wildcats would split the decision, falling in the first game 4-0 then bouncing back in the second for a 15-6 victory.

Grace Bleckwehl would get the starting nod in the first game and would allow four runs in the first innings. Bleckwehl and the Wildcat defense would keep the Trojans at bay for the remainder of the match, but would not be able to wake up offensively falling to the Trojans in game one 4-0.

Bleckwehl would fire up in the second game and end the night 3-4 with a double in the first, and singles in the third, fifth and sixth to help push the Wildcats ahead. Meleah Speichinger would get the starting nod and would allow four runs through two innings before Bleckwehl would return to the mound and pitch the remaining three innings allowing only one run. A big fourth and fifth inning would guarantee a Wildcat 15-6 victory over the Trojans.

The now 5-6 Wildcats return to action on Saturday at Underwood High School for the Underwood Softball Tournament. The Wildcats face off against the Underwood Eagles first with first pitch scheduled for 8:30am.
