It’s the final day of the Bell Tower Festival in Jefferson and there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Most of the festivities happen after the parade at 11am, including the opening of the brew station, carnival and vendors around the downtown square at 12:30pm. The afternoon musical entertainment is the returning performance of the Dueling Pianos at 1pm, along with the mud volleyball tournament and car show also at 1pm, the trivia contest at 4pm, a bags tournament at 5pm, and bingo at 6pm. Then, the evening musical entertainment is The Street from Des Moines at 8pm.
Bell Tower Festival Chair Philip Heisterkamp describes what his most enjoyable part is in helping to run the annual event.
“Just to be able to bring big city entertainment or unique things to Jefferson and just give people a break in (their) schedule. We’re a hard working community and county and it’s good to put on a high quality festivity like this, and just give people a chance to take (a) break, connect with others and have some fun.”
Additionally, Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio is also broadcasting live until 6pm from in front of the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower. Click here for more information.
