Stuart’s annual town celebration is in full swing today.
Good Egg Days festivities start in the morning, but a lot of the fun takes place in the afternoon as well. The Good Egg Days parade begins at 11am, with special guest, Iowa Dairy Princess Harley Bommel taking part. After the parade, Bommel is spending the afternoon at the Ag-4-All exhibit in the northeast corner of Lawbaugh Park handing out samples of meat sticks, chocolate milk and an egg on a stick.
Food trucks and craft vendors are open until 4pm, with 10 food options and over 30 vendors. Face painters are in the park from 1-4pm, with The Reptile Guy Zach Wright at the gazebo from 2-4pm. There is also a bubble show from 3-4pm, with a street dance featuring “The Remedy” from 8pm to midnight. Raccoon Valley Radio’s Little Big Red Radio is broadcasting live from behind the station from 8am to 3pm. A full list of the day’s events can be found in this story online.
