Today is symbolic with it being Flag Day, and the Minburn American Legion Osborne Post #99 will hold a special meal to honor that.

The Legion is inviting people to stop by the Washington Township School, 18930 210th Street, in Minburn for a free will donation meal. According to the Legion, the meal will recognize America’s 250th Army Birthday and the 248th year of Flag Day. 

The Legion details that they chose to have the meal on Flag Day because it’s one of the most patriotic days in American history, and that the money from the free will donation will go towards general funds. The meal will include pork loin, cheesy potatoes, green beans, a roll, assorted desert bar, plus tea and lemonade and it will be served from 5-7pm this evening.
