West Marshall plated four runs in the top of the seventh to spoil first ever Perry Softball Alumni Night, 8-4, Friday.

The Jayettes welcomed all former players from the past 54  years to the Perry Athletic Complex for the game.  Perry struck early in the second after an infield single from Taryn Nehring drove in one.  The Trojans answered with a three run third highlighted by an Amelia Ranson two-run homer.  Perry scratched across a run in each of the third, fourth, and fifth.  The Trojans used five hits in the seventh to take the largest lead of the game.

Kalley Whelchel was four for four with two doubles.  Nehring, Karagyn and Kalley Whelchel each had an RBI.

Tina Kanealy suffered the complete game loss.  The senior gave up eight runs on 13 hits, two walks and one strike out.

Aubree Greenwood earned the win after three innings of relief.  Greenwood struck out four and gave up three hits with no runs.

The Jayettes drop to 3-6-1 (3-6).  Perry returns to action Monday against PCM in Perry at 7P.
