On Saturday, the West Central Valley Wildcat softball team traveled to Underwood High School for the Underwood Softball Tournament. The Wildcats would play in three games, defeating the Underwood Eagles 4-1, the Harlan Community Cyclones 5-0 but falling to the Lawton-Bronson Eagles 5-1.

The Wildcats would face off against the Eagles first and would defeat Underwood 4-1. West Central Valley would take the lead in the bottom of the third, scoring one run in the third, two in the fourth and one more in the fifth. The Eagles would score one run in the sixth, but the Wildcats would stop the Eagles momentum defeating Underwood 4-1. In the second contest, West Central Valley would pick up another victory defeating the Cyclones 5-0. This would be a defense battle, the Wildcats would finally score in the bottom of the fifth notching in five runs to defeat the Cyclones 5-0. Lawton-Bronson would pick up a victory against the Wildcats, as the Wildcats would score one run in the fifth but their come back would be stopped as the Eagles would defeat West Central Valley 5-1.

The Wildcats advance to 6-7 and prepare for action on Monday against the Ogden Bulldogs. First pitch from Ogden is scheduled for 7pm.
