It’s Greene County and Perry at Principal Park in Des Moines at 3 p.m. today in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference baseball. The game will be a home contest for the Blue Jays and the players for both teams will have the experience of playing in the home of the Iowa Cubs, a triple-A stadium. Braydon Braun will have the play-by-play on KDLS 1310 AM and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.

Just last week the Blue Jays won in Jefferson by a 13-6 final. That was Perry’s second win of the season and the Rams have been stuck on one victory this season and stand at 1-9 overall and 1-8 in the league. The Blue Jays are 2-14 and 2-7 in conference play.

Coach Kyle Stalder’s Rams have just three wins over the last 32 games dating back to the start of the 2024 season. The Rams will be trying to break a seven game losing streak. Although the Rams lost all four games they played last week, the offense produced at a higher rate than their first three weeks of the season. The Rams lost 5-2, 6-5, 13-6, and 8-5 last week after being shut out in their first four losses this year.
