
Perry baseball suffered two losses at the hands of Martensdale in St Marys Saturday.
Game one was a low scoring contest with the Blue Devils winning 5-2. Martensdale-St Marys exploded for 14 runs in the 14-4 win in game two.
The Blue Devils took a 5-0 lead heading to the fifth in the first matchup as Owen Myers went 3/4 with two stolen bases.
Reid Iben took the loss pitching three innings. The freshman surrendered four runs, four walks, and four strikeouts.
Travis White picked up the win as he went three innings of one hit ball with two strikeouts.
Game two ended in the sixth inning, 14-4.
Iben had two hits including a double.
Geren Kenney took the loss. The right hander pitched three innings while giving up seven runs (four earned), two walks, one hit by pitch, and two strikeouts.
Cale Morrow went four innings to pick up the win. The senior surrendered four hits, three runs, while walking three, and striking out four.
The Bluejays fall to 2-14 after being swept on Saturday. Perry plays this afternoon at Principal Park in Des Moines at 3P against Greene County. KDLS will have the broadcast.
