The Greene County High School softball team is off today, then is scheduled to play six games from Tuesday through Saturday.The Rams enter this week at 5-4 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference and 6-7 overall.

A look at Heart of Iowa statistics shows Tom Kennedy’s Rams ranking high in several categories. Three sophomores from Greene County lead in conference categories. Pitcher Alaina Heard has the Heart of Iowa Conference lead in innings pitched at 75-1/3, starts and appearances at 12, batters faced with 285, and strikeouts at 76. Sara Morlan has five sacrifice bunts to lead the league, and the middle of the Rams infield is first and third in assists. Second baseman  Bellah Johnson is the leader with 30 and junior Becca Anderson is third with 26.
