June 14th

Desiree McDonald, Cedar Rapids, was traveling on I80 near mile marker 110, when she struck some debris in the roadway.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $2000.  She was able to drive from the scene.

June 17th

Holly Russell, age 40, 322 Barton St, Dexter, was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury.

Lesa Heckt, Clive, was stopped at a stop sign on Wendover Ave at Hwy 141, when a vehicle driven by Ester Makombe, Urbandale, attempted to make a turn and collided with Ms. Heckt.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $4000 to Ms. Heckt’s car and $4000 to Ms. Makombe’s car.  Ms. Makombe was issued a citation for Failure To Maintain Control.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
