Robin Olhausen Brand, a 1991 Jefferson-Scranton High School graduate, has been named the latest head softball coach at Cornell College in Mount Vernon. Brand has been the head coach of the Mount Vernon Mustangs for the last 13 years, winning a State title in 2022 and taking seven teams to State tournaments.  Conrell is a member of NCAA Divion III.

Brand’s teams have made it to State seven times in the last eight season and the 2025 Mustangs are ranked in the Class 3A top 10. Her high school teams have won 25 or more games for 11 straight seasons. She plans on continuing to coach at Mount Vernon High School in addition to coaching at Cornell.

She is the daughter of Roger and Rose Olhuasen of Jefferson and was a mutli-sport athlete for the Jeffettes of Jefferson-Scranton High School, including playing softball for the late Keith Vander Wilt.
