A Jefferson man was recently arrested for allegedly forcing minors to use marijuana.
According to court documents, the Jefferson Police Department responded to a call to a home at 11:39pm on May 17th from witnesses saying that two minor victims were forced to use marijuana by 45-year-old Robert Harvilicz. Court documents show that one of the victims told officers that they ate an edible with THC and then inhaled marijuana smoke from Harvilicz’ smoking device. The other victim stated that they were forced to smoke marijuana with Harvilicz. The witnesses also said that Harvilicz had a white bucket that he kept his drug items in. Harvillicz had also fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
The criminal complaint states that after officers obtained consent to search the room where the drugs were said to have been stored, about 265 grams of marijuana and THC products were found, but the bucket was not found. An arrest warrant was issued charging Harvillicz with two Class B Felonies for drug distribution to persons under 18, a Class D Felony for a controlled substance violation and a serious misdemeanor for his second offense for possession of marijuana. Court documents show that Harvilicz was arrested on June 18th and was booked into the Greene County Jail, where he remains under a $56,000 cash or surety bond.
