
On Tuesday, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs boys baseball team played host to the Gilbert Tigers. The Mustangs would take the lead in the bottom of the fifth and never looked back, defeating the Tigers 7-4 advancing the Mustangs to 12-6.
Connor Stolpe would get the starting nod for the Mustangs on the mound and would allow three runs through six innings before Jaxson Seidl would come in as the closer in the top of the seventh, allowing only one hit, one run in the 7-4 victory over the Tigers. Down 3-1 to Gilbert in the bottom of the fifth, the Mustangs would notch in four runs to take a 5-3 lead as Carson Gill would single to drive in Lincoln Harris from second to get the bats rolling for the Mustangs.
DCG advances to 12-6 after defeating Gilbert 7-4. Mustang baseball returns to action today in Oskaloosa for battle against the Indians. First pitch is scheduled for 7pm.
