Madrid scored the game winning run in the top of the seventh in their 3-2 win in Perry Thursday night.

The Jayettes out hit the Tigers eight to six, but Madrid capitalized on Perry errors.  The Jayettes got on the board first with two in the third.  Karagyn and Kalley Whelchel each drove in a run in the inning.  Madrid wasted no time as they got the two runs back in the fourth thanks to an error.  Madrid brought in the winning run in the seventh.  The Jayettes had an opportunity in the bottom of the frame.  A Kate Schuttler single up the middle and Jaylyn Robb walk set up runners on first and second with no outs.  Harper Peterson preceded to bunt into a double play.  Ayden Erickson grounded out to end the rally and game.

Cate Erickson and Karagyn Whelchel each had two hits.

Tina Kaneally celebrated Strikeout Cancer Night with a season high 4 K’s in the 3-2 loss.  She went seven innings while giving up six hits, three runs (one earned), and one walk.

Perry falls to 3-7-1 and will travel to Saydel tonight at 7P.
