A Rippey woman passed away from injuries in an accident on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, deputies, Grand Junction Fire and Rescue and Greene County Ambulance responded at 3:35pm to the call in the 2100 block of W Avenue. Sheriff Jack Williams tells Raccoon Valley Radio Heather Lansman had been on a riding lawnmower and went near a creek, when the embankment suddenly gave way.
He says the lawnmower rolled Lansman into the creek and the mower rolled on top of her and she became trapped in the creek. Williams states that she was pronounced dead at the scene.
