Other items on the agenda seeking approval include accepting funds to be spent on flower arrangements for City Council Member James West’s father-in-law’s funeral, a resolution for an agreement with Bray Associates Architects Incorporated for the Facility Needs Assessment for police and fire station and operational analysis for fire services, a resolution for an agreement with McGrath Consulting Group Incorporated for the operational and staffing assessment related to the Fire Facility Needs Assessment, a resolution on the final plat of Southbridge Plat 6, and a resolution to set the fiscal year 2025-26 fees for services.
The council will also hold second and possibly third readings on four ordinances to amend water rates, sewer rates, storm water rates, and garbage collection rates.
Peters tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the council held a special meeting this past Thursday to accept a Separation Agreement and Release with City Administrator Anthony Brown after 10 years. Peters stated that Brown decided to retire, and the council is searching for a replacement.
Monday’s meeting is open to the public taking place at Adel City Hall, 301 South 10th Street, beginning at 6pm.
