The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Softball Team has won their past 11 games, including sweeping the Kiwanis Tournament this weekend, as they were scheduled to honor three players tonight for senior night in Adel for a double header versus Gilbert, but the games have been postponed.

The Tigers played three games in Roland on Friday and Saturday, picking up wins over Mount Vernon, 1-0, Solon 6-2, and South Hamilton, 9-0. ADM lost to Bondurant-Farrar on June 9th in the second game of a double header, but over the course of the 11-game winning streak, the Tigers have victories against Winterset, North Polk, Pleasant Valley, North Scott, Dubuque Senior, Bettendorf, Ballard twice (double header), Mount Vernon, Solon, and South Hamilton, as they now sit at 17-5 overall (6-3; 2nd inside the Raccoon River Conference).

Through the 22 games, junior Lauren Hagedorn is leading with six home runs, with sophomore Makenna Pitlick with five, and senior Madi James tallying three. Hagedorn also has the most RBIs with 33, followed by sophomore Kinzie Maxwell’s 16, and Pitlick with 11.

Pitching wise for the Tigers, Pitlick has started 10 games and has accumulated a record of 7-3 with 45 strikeouts, Hagedorn is 6-0 in her starts with 47 strikeouts, freshman Chloe Olthoff is 3-2 in five starts with 16 strikeouts, and freshman Reese Vande Noord is 1-0 with 3 strikeouts.

ADM Activities Director Rod Wiebers tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the double header today is postponed due to the incoming weather, and are working on a potential make up date.
