A single vehicle rollover crash in Greene County this past Saturday results in the driver suffering severe injuries as the case remains active with law enforcement.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, deputies, the Jefferson Fire Department and Greene County Ambulance responded to the scene at 10:31pm Saturday on L Avenue near 290th Street. The Sheriff’s Office states that Austin Carter of Coon Rapids was traveling north on L Avenue, when he lost control of a 2014 Ford F-250 truck and rolled the vehicle several times, which resulted in the truck being totaled. 

Sheriff Jack Williams tells Raccoon Valley Radio that Carter was taken to Greene County Medical Center by Greene County Ambulance and eventually was transported by air ambulance to a Des Moines hospital with severe injuries. Williams adds that the investigation is ongoing at this time with charges pending lab results, but alcohol is suspected to have played a role in the incident.
