The rain hasn’t allowed the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball or Softball Teams to play so far this week, as they’re scheduled to travel to Carroll tonight.
Tiger baseball suffered a 7-5 loss to Earlham in their last action on Friday, while softball completed three wins in the Kiwanis Tournament in Roland versus Mount Vernon, Solon, and South Hamilton as they’re riding an 11-game winning streak.
Raccoon Valley Radio will broadcast the baseball game this evening from Merchant Park as ADM and Carroll have each won six games overall and are looking to make up ground in the Raccoon River Conference. For softball, ADM has skyrocketed to a 17-5 record (6-3; 2nd RRC), and Carroll is seeking their first win at 0-15 (0-7; last RRC). Other than a tie back in 2021, ADM has won the past 11 games against Carroll. Tonight’s contest will be played at the Carroll Softball Stadium, 901 Forest Street, at 5:30pm.
ADM baseball leads the overall historical series 24-8 and are winners of the previous six matchups. That game will be held at Merchants Park on Vine Street, with Raccoon Valley Radio carrying the coverage on K107.9 KKRF, starting around 4:45pm in anticipation of a 5pm first pitch.
