ADM now-graduated seniors of Kennedy Sorber, Hannah Desmarais, and Jada Grove

Adel-DeSoto-Minburn now-graduated senior Jada Grove’s high school soccer career might be over, but the friendships she’s acquired along the way will last a lifetime.

Grove was first exposed to soccer at the age of four when her parents were trying to find an activity for her to occupy her time with. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she joined the ADM Club League before transitioning into the Bettendorf Soccer Association to further develop her skills. Grove captured a spot on the varsity soccer team her freshman year during the 2021-22 season, and says throughout her years, she has obtained long lasting friendships.

“These girls are like family to me. Having played with a lot of them over all four of my years has been awesome. Getting to know everyone, getting closer over the years and then even the freshmen this year I feel like I have made really good connections with. So I know that those are friendships that I will take with me throughout the rest of my life.”

Grove led the Tigers to the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Class 2A State Tournament, where they fell to Waverly-Shell Rock in the semifinals on June 5th. She is leaving a legacy behind at ADM, as she is now the All-Time Leading Scorer in school history with 100 goals and holds the record for the most goals scored in a single game with seven.

Grove acknowledges that she won’t pursue soccer in college, as she’ll be attending the University of Iowa in Iowa City, with a major in exercise science in hopes to become a physical therapist.
