
Perry baseball travels to Nevada tonight weather permitting to face of with the Cubs in Heart of Iowa action.
Nevada won round one in Perry 10-4. Mason Hayes hit the lone Bluejay homerun on the season in the loss. The lefty became the first freshmen to hit a dinger in over a decade. Owen Myers suffered the loss on June 4. That’s the last time Myers has taken the rubber as the senior has been battling elbow issues. Myers, Hayes, and Gauge Freeman combined for six of the teams ten hits.
The Nevada SCORE Recreation Complex will host tonight’s match up at 7:30P. Perry is 3-16 while Nevada is 9-9. The Bluejays own a 3-8 record in the HOIC and the Cubs are slightly better at 4-6. Both clubs were rained out to begin the week.
