The Stuart Public Library has a fun opportunity for patrons this week.

Library Director Lisa Sherman mentions that the library has in the past worked with Iowa Public Broadcasting System representative Trista, who has brought Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) items and activities to the library for different educational events. Sherman tells Raccoon Valley Radio that they decided to take a step up from what they usually do this year.

“Trista suggested that we get the big trailer, and so we had to think about a time that might be a good fit, so the week of the 23rd. And we are so excited. The kids love it. I’ve seen adults play with some of the toys or activities. So it’s just by chance that that came about.”

The Iowa PBS STEAM trailer is parked on the west side of the Stuart Public Library and Stuart City Hall, and has been there since the beginning of the week. Sherman mentions that the trailer will remain at the library until the end of June 30th, and will be available during regular library hours, which are 9am to 6pm Mondays and Wednesdays, 9am to 5pm Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 9am to noon on Saturdays.
