The Adel Parks and Recreation Department is welcoming people out to a free movie happening tomorrow.
According to Recreation Supervisor Ramona Dillinger, they are showing the movie “Wonka” at Kinnick-Feller Park. She explains the Parks and Rec Department chose a light-hearted film that the whole family can enjoy together and they planned to show the same movie last year, but the event got rained out. Dillinger encourages people to bring their blankets or lawn chairs to the park.
Dillinger points out that the Parks and Rec Department will serve free popcorn, but attendees can bring other snacks like candy or beverages. She highlights that there are two additional opportunities for the Movie in the Park to happen with “The Wild Robot” will be shown on July 25th, and “A Minecraft Movie” will be featured on August 23rd. Tonight’s movie “Wonka” starts at sunset.
