Monday, June 23rd

4:43pm: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 400 block of North 16th Street, Grand Junction.

6:13pm: The Sheriff and deputies attempted to stop a car at the intersection of 220th Street and 222nd Street near Grand Junction. The driver of the vehicle had been making threats to harm others over social media. The vehicle fled west and then south on U Avenue. The vehicle attempted to hit a deputy and 4 other vehicles head on in the wrong lane at speeds ranging from 80 mph to 110 mph forcing the other cars to take the ditch. A deputy conducted a controlled impact at 300th and U Avenue putting the car in the ditch. The driver fled into a corn field on foot where he was later detained. A Jefferson Police Officer arrived and completed the accident report. The estimated damage to the patrol vehicle is 8,000 dollars and the estimated damage to the Ford Mustang is 10,000 dollars. Casey Kennedy 25 of Grand Junction was arrested for Eluding- 25mph or more over the speed limit, assault on an officer with a dangerous weapon, 4 counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, and threat of terrorism. Kennedy was booked into the jail.

6:28pm: A deputy and Grand Junction Fire responded to a structure fire in the 800 block of Percival Street, Grand Junction. There was minor damage by the fire. The cause was determined to be faulty wiring.

7:25pm: A deputy assisted with cattle out on 250th Street near U Avenue.

7:42pm: A deputy investigated an animal neglect complaint in the 400 block of Sand Street, Churdan.

11:32pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle on 190th Street near L Avenue.

Tuesday, June 24th

12:52am: A deputy assisted a motorist on 220th Street near D Avenue.

4:20am: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 600 block of Hill Street, Churdan.

7:36am: A deputy conducted a welfare check on 240th Street near V Avenue.

12:00pm: Andrew Reisner 40 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for a violation of probation.

2:27pm: A deputy investigated an abandoned 911 call in the 1100 block of 230th Street.

2:38pm: The Sheriff investigated a suspicious vehicle on J Avenue near 140th Street.

3:08pm: A deputy conducted a welfare check on 237th Street near the river bridge.

4:25pm: A deputy investigated an illegal dumping complaint on 220th Street near W Avenue.

6:05pm: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a search warrant in the 400 block of South Cedar Street, Jefferson.

10:49pm: A deputy assisted with cattle out on Quest Avenue near 340th Street.

11:56pm: A deputy assisted a motorist on 3rd Street near Percival Street, Rippey.

Wednesday, June 25th

10:36am: A deputy investigated a scam in the 700 block of W Avenue.

12:15pm: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 1700 block of 280th Street.

5:00pm: A deputy investigated drug paraphernalia that found in the 600 block of North Street, Churdan.

6:47pm: A deputy investigated an abandoned 911 call in the 2100 block of 240th Street.

10:12pm: Randolph Glass 59 of Rippey was booked into the jail for driving while barred.

10:58pm: A deputy investigated a dog running at large in the 600 block of Hill Street, Churdan.

11:01pm: A deputy investigated a noise complaint in the 600 block of 4th Street, Rippey.

11:39pm: A deputy investigated a family dispute in the 500 block of 3rd Street, Rippey.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
