
After one of the more impressive Greene County High School baseball victories in recent seasons, the Rams are back home tonight. Coach Kyle Stalder’s Rams went to Saydel High School in Des Moines on Wednesday alone in last place in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference and all they did was knock off the league leading Eagles by a score of 9-6, and Saydel fell to 18-6 on the season.
The 4-11 Rams are at Allensworth Field in Jefferson tonight hosting non-conference opponent Carroll High on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com at 7:30 p.m. The Tigers, members of the Raccoon River Activities Conference are 6-11 and all of their victories are outside of the Raccoon River. The Rams have won three of their last four games are starting the season 1-10.
Greene County softball was rained out at Denison on Thursday vs. Denison-Schleswig. Locally heavy rain produced more than three inches of moisture there in the 24 hours leading up to Thursday night. No make up game has been announced.
