The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest on Thursday of a Guthrie Center man for alleged sex abuse of a minor..

According to the Sheriff’s Office, 63 year old Clinton Matthias was arrested, following an investigation in conjunction with the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services. The investigation is currently ongoing.

Matthias is charged with two counts of second degree sexual abuse, a Class B Felony; third degree sexual assault of a child victim member of the same household, a Class C Felony; lascivious acts with a child, a Class C Felony; as well as lascivious acts with a child, an aggravated misdemeanor; and indecent contact with a child, an aggravated misdemeanor.
