The Dallas County Conservation Board will be taking interested participants on a mild hike in Minburn early next week.

The conservation board is hosting a High-Low Hike at Voas Nature Area, 19286 Lexington Road this coming Tuesday. Naturalist Erica Northwick illustrates that a new part of the trail will be explored, consisting of forested hills and a rocky creek. She describes the trail only lasting a mile and is categorized as a medium difficulty with a little bit of incline.

However, Northwick is hoping that doesn’t discourage people from coming out, as if they get going on the hike and determine that it’s too hard, they can opt to stop or take a break. She notes that people should wear proper tennis shoes and bring water in anticipation of the heat. Northwick reveals the event is free, but registration is encouraged to get a headcount of participants that will be joining. The High-Low Hike is happening Tuesday from 8-9am. To sign up, click here.
