
On Friday, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs baseball team played host and shut out the Norwalk Warriors defeating Norwalk 3-0. The Mustangs now advance to 16-8 so far this season.
Chase Engel would get the starting nod for the Mustangs on the mound pitching the entire game achieving the shut out, allowing no runs with only four hits, one walk and six strikeouts. Catcher Tatin Gray would shine on offense, hitting a two run homerun to score Perrin in the bottom of the first to take a 2-0 lead, before being brought in to score by an RBI single by Carson Gill in the bottom of the third. Gill, Engel, Perrin and Gray would push the Mustangs to victory over Norwalk 3-0.
The Mustangs return to action at home playing host to the 2025 Prange Classic. The Mustangs face off against Prairie first at 10am, then against North Scott at 12:15pm.
