Perry Strength and Performance is off to a smashing success this summer. Josh Vannornam leads the charge for a third straight year. The Perry football coach is seeing the most athletes during his tenure. He is working with 3rd thru 12th graders to help them perform better in Perry athletics. Daily workouts start early with the first session at 6A. Vannornam continues to work with the youth throughout the rest of the day until noon. The goal of these drills is to build strength, improve quickness, and sharpen skills.
“Being a small 3A school you want kids to be in sports, too, but we also got to be able to tell them that it’s super important to train year round. No matter if it’s in season out of season preseason whatever that may be you have to be in the weight room training.”
Summer workouts will continue through July 25. Perry will be hosting a Max Out Tailgate on the final day where members of the community will be invited to see the growth.
