With Independence Day coming up on Friday, there will be several offices and businesses closed in Greene County.

The Greene County Courthouse, Greene County ISU Extension Office, Jefferson City Hall, Jefferson Public Library, Greene County Community Center, and the Jefferson Post Office will be closed on the 4th of July in observance of the holiday.

The Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department reminds everyone that individuals who are 19 and older can access the community center with their membership cards. Library patrons are reminded that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday. Jefferson residents are reminded that garbage and recycling routes are not impacted by the holiday falling on a Friday this year.
