The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball Team will be hitting the road tonight for a non-conference matchup versus Ogden, as they’re competing for win number 10 on the season.

The Tigers are currently 9-19 on the year, splitting a double header with Gilbert on Saturday, as Ogden is 11-14 overall coming off a 12-2 victory against West Central Valley also on Saturday. Tonight will be a special honor recognizing former Bulldog Head Coach Dick Smith, who has a personal connection with Tiger Head Coach Jason Book.

“Dick was a great friend to me and a mentor. And I’m looking forward to seeing him again and being out on the ballfield with him again, though it may not be in uniform, that’s okay. He’s a tremendous man and he led a lot of young men, taught them not just baseball, but about life. So, it’s really cool for me, anyway, to be there to be able to celebrate that with him and have that opportunity to compete against them in that game.”

ADM leads the historical series 6-3, as they’ve won the past three matchups. First pitch is set for 7pm from the Ogden Baseball Field, as Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the coverage on K107.9 KKRF, starting around 6:45pm.
