The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.

AgriVia Licensed Professor Engineer Jacob Hagan and Engineer in Training Tyler Buman presented the board with a drainage watchman services proposal to allow Dallas County landowners to use their economical engineering services in order to streamline minor repairs, reduce delays, and improve timely responses. Hagan emphasized that the proposal would not be a formal agreement, and is meant to be a free extension of services, which can be discontinued at any time. The board took action to accept the proposal.

Other items on the agenda that were approved included a pay application for the Secondary Roads Administration addition in the amount of $595,434.51 as well as a and a MidAmerican Energy Arc Flash and Indemnification Agreement, a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) Amendment for $3,881,740 for the Courthouse Renovation project, a GMP Amendment for $2,287,412 for the Evidence Storage Building and Firing Range, a resolution for the 2025 precinct election officials pay rates as presented, and a resolution for a criminal court building public education review committee as presented.

Also, the board set a public hearing for an Emergency Medical Services Department scheduling software agreement for July 15th at 9:30am inside the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room in Adel. Next, the board had a workshop to discuss County Comprehensive Land use, zoning, and building code, followed by a drainage district trustees meeting, and entered into a closed session pursuant to Iowa code to review confidential records.
