Monday, June 30th

7:50am: A deputy investigated a driving complaint on N Avenue near 170th Street.

3:14pm: A deputy investigated a theft complaint in the 600 block of North 11th Street, Grand Junction.

4:47pm: A deputy investigated a trespass complaint in the 1100 block of Maple Street, Scranton.

4:53pm: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 500 block of North 16th Street, Grand Junction.

5:12pm: A deputy investigated a driving complaint in the 700 block of Madison Street, Scranton.

5:59pm: A deputy assisted with a medical call in the 100 block of Elizabeth Street, Grand Junction.

7:18pm: A deputy assisted a motorist on 220th Street near W Avenue.

8:31pm: A deputy investigated a fireworks complaint in the 100 block of 3rd Street, Rippey.

9:42pm: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 800 block of Jay Street, Churdan.

Tuesday, July 1st

1:53pm: A deputy assisted with cattle out on the roadway in the 1400 block of J Avenue.

3:45pm: The Sheriff and deputies, Iowa State Patrol, Scranton Fire, Bayard Fire, and Greene County Ambulance responded to a car vs tractor accident in the 2300 block of E Avenue. Michael Dahl 64 of Scranton was traveling South on E Avenue. Neal Schoon 62 of Bayard was also traveling South on E Avenue. Schoon rear-ended the tractor causing it to roll into the west ditch. Schoon’s car stayed on the roadway. Both vehicles were totaled in the accident. Michael Dahl was pronounced at the scene. The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the accident.

9:19pm: The Greene County Sheriff’s Office assisted Boone County with a reported shots fire call near B Avenue and 210th Street.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
