Medical-related back to school services will be underway later this month in Greene County.

According to the Greene County Medical Center, the Family Medicine Clinic is offering free sports physical clinics on Tuesday, July 15th and Thursday, July 17th from 3-6pm. The Family Medical Clinic states that while no insurance or appointments are necessary for the free sports physicals, the patient simply needs their sports physical forms and written consent if the parent or guardian will not be present.

Greene County Public Health will also be on-hand during those clinics to provide immunizations that are required for school and others that youth are recommended to have. Public Health Director Shelby Cooklin states that insurance or another form of payment will be needed to receive immunizations. Additionally, Cooklin says GCPH offers immunization clinics by appointment on the third Wednesday every month from 4-6:15pm. Anyone can also schedule an appointment during their regular hours from 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.

Lastly, 21st Century Rehabilitation has free sports injury assessments available for all Greene County student athletes in 7th-12th grades. Staff are also at the Greene County High School training room to see athletes with injuries one day per week and they are at all home sporting events for the Greene County School District.
