On Thursday, the Panorama Panthers softball team played host to the Gildden-Ralston Wildcats for the final softball game of the regular season for Panorama. The Panthers would end the regular season on a high note, defeating Glidden-Ralston 8-3.
Coach Galvan reflected on the victory against a great Wildcat softball team and even gave praise to their pitcher.
““Did a great job tonight with our approaches at the plate and did well against a good pitcher tonight in Subbert from Glidden. Our team came focused and ready and put it all on the line. Lexi Galvan did a great job in the circle for us and the defense made some great plays to get the W. Had some big home runs from Andrea Knode, who had two, and Bridget White, that lead the offense and we were able to run the bases well. We have played well these last two games and it’s a great way to finish the regular season as we head into regional play!”
Panther softball returns to action on Monday at home for the first round of Class 2A region 4 play. The Panthers play host to the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks with first pitch scheduled for 7pm.
